EPCA lifts ‘emergency’ measures as air quality improves in Delhi-NCR

Gujarat wind auction put off again

Gujarat’s first wind auction scheduled for Wednesday has been put off once again, an official at Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), which is conducting the auction, said.

Punjab govt to set up 400 processing plants to convert paddy straw into bio-energy to curb pollution

Government gives Bhandewadi land to Essel for waste-to-energy project

The state government has given 10 acre in Bhandewadi to Essel Infrastructure and Hitachi Zosen India for their solid waste-to-energy project. The general body of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) had recommended the same on July 20. Work is yet to begin on the project.
