Suzlon group wins orders for combined capacity of 111 megawatt

Renewable energy solutions provider Suzlon group today said it has bagged orders for a combined capacity of 111.30 mw from corporate and SME customers between August and September. 

This combined capacity includes orders from reputed corporate houses such as Serum Institute of India, Rajasthan Gum Group and an assortment of SME customers, the company said in a BEE filing.

‘Industrial units contaminating Pissurlem fields’ in Keri, Goa

100 countries push to phase out potentially disastrous greenhouse gas

Cabinet gives Clean Ganga Mission power to fine polluters

The Union Cabinet has approved changes allowing the National Mission for Clean Ganga to fine those responsible for polluting the river. Earlier this power was vested solely with the Central Pollution Control Board.

Solar projects in Maharashtra receive Rs 4.42 per unit bid

The proposed 450 mw grid connected solar projects in Maharashtra under National Solar Mission has received lowest bid of Rs 4.42 per unit and nine other companies submitted bids of Rs 4.43 per unit.

Hartek Power eyes 1GW solar installations by FY18

Lowest ever prices for Indian local content projects from Tata and Adani

Indian power giants Tata Power Renewable Energy and Adani have put in the lowest ever bids for solar capacity under Indian’s Domestic Content Requirment (DCR) rules, going below INR5/kWh (US$0.075) for the first time.

Adani dedicates to nation world’s largest solar power plant in TN

Adani Green Energy (Tamil Nadu) Ltd, part of the Adani Group, on Wednesday said it has dedicated to the nation the world’s largest solar power plant of 648 megawatts (MW), set up at Kamuthi in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.

31 more countries ratify Paris Agreement on climate change

The Paris Agreement on climate change moved closer to enter into force this year as 31 more countries on Wednesday joined it at a special event hosted by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York.
