Government bans energy guzzling one-star air-conditioners in the Indian marketThe government has banned the sale of entry-level one-star air-conditioners in the Indian market and introduced improved energy efficiency guidelines for frost-free refrigerators. It also made it compulsory for companies to adhere to energy rating rules for hi-end inverter ACs from 2018. CMC draws up plan to clean Millennium CityThe Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Tuesday chalked out a detailed plan to improve sanitation in the city after it performed poorly in the Centre's Swachha Sarvekshan or sanitation survey.
