Vestas Winds plans to build new blade factory in IndiaVestas Wind Systems A/S, the biggest wind turbine maker, said it plans to build a new blade factory in India as it seeks to expand its presence in the Asian nation. WRAP updates on sustainable clothing planWRAP has updated progress made by clothing retailers signed up to the Sustainable Clothing Action Plan's (SCAP) sector commitment. In two years, brands have reduced water impacts by 12.5 per cent per tonne of clothing and made a 3.5 per cent carbon impact reduction per tonne of clothing, both against a 15 per cent target. Cabinet green signals rescue package for ailing discomsA rescue package for ailing electricity utilities, called ‘Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojna’ or UDAY, was approved by the Cabinet on Thursday. The scheme stipulates passing on discom debts in their entirety to the respective States over two years.
