12 FDI proposals worth Rs 822 crore clearedGovernment today said it has cleared 12 foreign investment proposals, including that of Swedish fashion major Hennes & Mauritz, totalling Rs 821.63 crore. MNRE: Indian Solar PV installations dip to zero in October 2013India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) reports that no new solar photovoltaic (PV) plants were commissioned in October 2013. This follows installations of roughly 100 MW per month for the previous three months. This is the second time in the last six months that new PV plants have dipped to zero, the previous time being in June 2013. Additionally, MNRE reports no off-grid PV systems smaller than 1 kW installed, but the installation of 40,000 square meters of solar water heating collectors.

India to introduce new 2-wheeler emission normsCome 2015, the Indian government will introduce stricter emission norms for two-wheelers, which aim to cut down vehicular emissions by up to 25 percent.
