India’s Punjab tendering for 15MW of canal top solar PV projects

Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has issued a request for proposals (RfP) for 15MW of grid-connected solar PV proejcts on canal tops.

Mexico Will Launch Carbon Pricing In November

On Monday, September 7 (the Labor Day holiday in the US), the government of Mexico announced that the nation “south of the border” would soon join the growing ranks of countries that have adopted cap and trade to reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions. Mexico’s pilot carbon pricing program will begin in November on a trial basis for 12 months. India to increase share of gas in energy mix to 15 per cent: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

In a bid to move towards gas-based economy, India will increase proportion of natural gas in its energy mix from existing 6.5 per cent to 15 per cent, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on September 6.

NDMC sets up 5 e-waste collection centres in New Delhi

In a bid to prevent health risks resulting from exposure to electronic junk, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has set up five e-waste collection centres in its areas. It has also initiated a door-to-door pickup service, which is being offered free of cost.

The collection centres have come up at Kautilya Marg, Palika Niwas, Amrita Shergill Marg, Rajendra Prasad Road and Ashoka Road.

Groundwater use by Delhi Metro: NGT fines Jal Board
