State to go for clean powerAiming to cut down costs and reduce its carbon footprint, the state government has decided to aggressively pitch for generating electricity through non-conventional resources. It will soon come out with a policy for the same. According to an official from the state’s energy department, “The government wants to produce 14,400 megawatts (MW) of electricity by 2019 by way of non-conventional methods.
