Ministry wants competitive bidding for renewable energy procurementThe Ministry of New and Renewable Energy wants to make procurement of electricity from renewable sources also through competitive bidding process, just as in the case of conventional power. McDonald's fries away fleet emissions with biodiesel programmeMcDonald's truck fleet in the UAE has travelled over a million kilometres using recycled vegetable oil from its own outlets since it started a biofuel programme in July last year.
