Ministry of renewable energy update on conversion of domestic waste in to cooking gasDr Farooq Abdullah minister of new and renewable energy informed the Rajya Sabha that the domestic waste can be converted into cooking gas called biogas through anaerobic digestion process. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has supported over 1000 biogas plants based on domestic kitchen waste into cooking gas. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy: Generation Based Incentive SchemeThe Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has already introduced Generation Based Incentive (GBI) schemes separately for wind and solar energy.
