French Government Plans Solar Energy Tender, Modifiable Rates, Besson SaysFrance plans to start tenders for large solar projects and adopt a “modifiable” system for the tariffs that utilities pay for the renewable power, according to Industry Minister Eric Besson. “We are planning a mixed system,” Besson told an energy conference in Paris today. Lanco Infratech Plans to Set Up $300 Million Solar Manufacturing PlantLanco Infratech Ltd., an Indian energy and infrastructure company, plans to build a plant in Chhattisgarh to produce purified silicon, cells and other components for solar photovoltaic facilities. The plant in Rajnandgaon district will have a capacity of 250 megawatts a year and will produce ingots, wafers, photovoltaic cells, modules and polysilicon, the company said in an e-mailed statement.
