Chennai firm keen on energy efficiency schemes in A.P.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has welcomed the Chennai-based Zynergy Solar Projects and Services Pvt. Ltd. to extend their support to the energy efficiency programmes undertaken by the government.

National lab policy for renewable energy soon

The ministry of new and renewable energy is in the process of finalising a national lab policy to set norms for testing, standardisation and certification of renewable energy related products, and define the infrastructure required for testing centres. PFC, REC will drop interest rates to double lending in three years

State-run power financiers Power Finance Corp (PFC) and Rural Electrification Corp (REC) will slash rates to single digits when lending to renewable energy projects following the government's order setting tough targets for the two companies to double their exposure in the next three years.

WTO body ruling in India-US solar case by September

The appellate body of the World Trade Organization (WTO) is expected to give its verdict on an appeal by India in its solar mission dispute with the US by September, a senior government official said.

China installed 20 GW of solar power in H1; triple from a year ago

Metro stations to have bio-digesters for waste mgmt

Going ahead with its mission of creating a green metro rail for the city, Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRCL) has decided to install bio-digesters or mini sewage treatment plants (STPs) at all its stations and buildings. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard will be signed in a couple of days with Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), which had developed this technology.

Haryana government to set up new treatment plant to clean Yamuna
