Karma Energy to invest Rs 240cr in Dhule power projectKarma Energy, the subsidiary of Weizmann Limited, on Tuesday said it plans to invest Rs 240-crore to set up a 60 MW power project at Dhule in Maharashtra. City heritage sites tap sun’s power, electricity bill dips
The solar panels at Jantar Mantar and Safdarjung’s Tomb have helped slash the electricity bill of these Centrally protected monuments almost by half. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is now thinking of expanding the initiative and installing solar panels at 11 other heritage sites in the Capital.
The panels at these two heritage sites were installed around six months ago, following an initiative of the ASI and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

'Digitisation will not hit paper industry'The demand for paper consumption would grow for the next 20-25 years, irrespective of digitisation and technological advancement. Digitisation is not going to affect the Indian paper industry, as the current consumption of paper in India is only 10 kg per capita, as against 300 kg per capita in developed countries, according to Madhukar Mishra, president, Indian Paper Manufacturers Association (IPMA).
